Deals LabOutbound bench
Bench note

We write to one buyer at a time, and nothing leaves the lab unread.

Deals Lab builds the outbound channels established companies never switched on. Each message is researched and written for a single real person, then read by one of us before it goes. It is slower than blasting a list. It is also the version a busy buyer actually reads.

Diagnosis

Your pipeline is a network. Networks do not grow on command.

Most companies that find us grew on referrals and trade shows. Good work, a good name, and a calendar that fills when someone happens to mention you. That holds until you need growth on a date you picked. A network waits to be asked. A system does the asking.

There are four ways to reach a buyer who does not know you yet: outbound, content, referrals and paid. Most firms run one of them well and leave the others off. That gap is rarely about talent. Nobody was ever given the job of building the rest.

House rules

What we refuse to do on the bench

  1. If we cannot say why this person, and why now, we do not write.
  2. Nothing goes out that we would mind being forwarded to their boss.
  3. A human reads every line before it leaves the lab.
  4. A reply that says stop ends it. First time, no argument.
The specimen

What one message looks like before it is allowed out.

We treat every first message as an experiment with a sample of one. It has a reader, a reason and a question. If any of them is weak, it goes back on the bench and we try again.

  • iThe reader. One person, chosen on purpose because they own the problem you solve.
  • iiThe reason. Something true about their role or their company, checked by hand.
  • iiiThe timing. Why this week makes sense and last year did not.
  • ivThe ask. Small, specific and easy to say no to.
Around the core

Outbound opens the door. What they find decides the rest.

A buyer who gets a good message looks you up before they reply. So we build the layer around it. Press that gives people a reason to mention you. Short video in your own voice. A site that answers the questions a buyer has before they ask you. And search work, so that when someone asks an AI assistant for a shortlist, your name is on it.

Then it is yours

We build it, run it, then hand you the keys.

We run the engine until it produces pipeline. Then the whole thing moves to you, and there is no black box to rent back from us.

The playbookWho you sell to, why, and how to say it.
The dataEvery account and person we researched.
The sequencesEvery message track, with what worked.
The peopleYour own staff, trained to run it.
The Bench Read

Ask us to take your outbound apart.

Send us your company and we will come back with a short written read. Which channels you run, which sit idle, and where an engine would fit. It costs nothing, there is no deck, and you owe us nothing after.
